HTML Basic Tags

Some frequent and essential tags common to most web pages.

HTML Fundamental Concepts.

1.A HTML document is build up of three fundamental building blocks.

  • Elements
  • Attributes
  • Content

The Headings.

1.HTML has six level of headings <h1> ... <h6>, each progressively smaller in font size.

1.The <p> element represents a paragraph which can represent a block of text containing a single idea or point.

2.Each paragraph is displayed on a new line with some whitespaces within multiple paragraphs. Also, multiple white-spaces within a paragraph are ignored and collapsed into a single whitespace.

HTML Links

1.The HTML anchor element <a> is used to create a clickable link to other web documents or resource..

Example :

HTML Images

1.The HTML tag <img /> is used to embed(i.e add) images on the webpage.

Syntax :

Give it a TRY! » Note-The src attribute contains the name, location and extension of the image file.

HTML Entities.

1.Some Characters have special meaning especially < > or /. So we use a code that browser substitues for special characters. These codes are called entities.

Example Entities.
